James Bond KWPN Stallion
Desperado NOP x Fidertanz
Graded by the KWPN in 2017, one of just 13 that year.
This drop dead gorgeous horse combines the very best of both Dutch and German bloodlines. His outstanding movement combined with exceptional rideability and temperament bring you the ultimate model.
His movement is loose and elastic, with an ease to it that makes everything look effortless. His trot is very easy in its adjustability – he already shows huge potential for the piaffe/passage work, as well as having a scopey extension. The canter is super adjustable so he has picked up the changes with ease and starts to turn the working pirouettes like he has been doing it forever. The walk has a good extension and collects easily ready for the piaffe.
‘Q’ has already proved himself inside the competition boards. At just 5 years old he was Reserve Champion (behind Charlotte Dujardin) in the BD Novice Winter National Championships with nearly 78%. Later that year he won an incredibly strong Elementary Championship at the Summer Nationals. 2020 was a competition write off for most of us, but Mr Bond still managed a fairly respectable 74% in his Advanced Medium debut. His training did develop well though, and hopefully 2021 will see him do more Advanced Mediums and some PSG’s towards the end of the year.
James Bond is a Grand Prix horse in the making, and a pretty exciting one at that!
Sire Desperado has been phenomenally successful with Emmilie Scholtens. In 2019 they were on the silver medal winning Dutch team at the European Championships, and had fantastic results in numerous World Cup shows, including winning both the Grand Prix and the Freestyle (with over 85%!) in Mechelen.
Dam sire Fidertanz was the 2004 NRW Champion Stallion. He dominated his 30 day test in Neustadt-Dosse, and a year later took the Reserve Champion title at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, with a score of 9.5 from the guest rider. He competed very successfully up to Grand Prix, and his offspring have excelled in all areas – with liscensed sons including Grand Prix stars – Foundation and Franziskus.
